Welcome to the new Tigers Football Insider. Each week, we’ll bring you the latest news and analysis from The Daily Memphian’s Steven Johnson, Geoff Calkins and Don Wade.

This week, the Memphis running back rotation has taken another hit. On Tuesday, coach Ryan Silverfield announced Cameron Fleming would be out of action for some time.

“Cam Fleming is dealing with a significant injury and will be lost for the foreseeable future,” Silverfield said.

Fleming was injured against Arkansas State on his first carry. It seemed he was third in the running back pecking order behind Dreke Clark and Kylan Watkins.

The depth of the running back room is being tested, but the Memphis staff still feels confident in the group.
