Ja Morant’s time could be coming soon enough.

The star point guard has already debuted several new Nike adapt shoes, exclusive player’s edition sneakers, and labeled himself the “cozy king” of tech suits.

But could a signature shoe deal be on the way? Given Morant’s on-court trajectory and growing popularity, it’s not a farfetched idea.

And now one of the world’s most famous fashion designers has weighed in.

John Elliott, the founder of John Elliott Co., who has collaborated with Lakers star LeBron James in past basketball shoe projects, noted another NBA player with whom he wishes to collaborate.

According to Bleacher Report’s shoe-dedicated Instagram page “B/R Kicks,” that player is Morant.

Morant does not yet have his own signature shoe line, but did sign with Nike after his leap to the NBA. This season he has been wearing different models of Kobe Bryant’s shoe line, and recently noted that he’s running out of options.

So, Nike, it’s your move.

Is it time for Morant to get his own shoe? Elliott appears willing to help.
