Just kidding, sort of.

First it’s traffic vs. the (damaged) I-40 bridge.

Now it’s the Grizzlies against the Golden Gate Bridge — logo, on the Warriors uniforms.

The scenario for reaching eighth place in the West is simple. If the Grizzlies split their games against Sacramento on Thursday and Friday and they win at Golden State Sunday afternoon, they will claim the advantageous play-in spot.

Two wins over the Kings will mean nothing without a win over Warriors this point. Will they crack?

So if Memphis wants a de-facto night off on Friday — a chance to rest its starters — it must beat the Kings on Thursday. Perhaps an extra day of rest could be major advantage for the Grizzlies stars, who are scheduled for four games in five nights.

It would be a shame if they ran out of gas.
