Welcome back to the Tigers Football Insider, where we bring you the latest news and analysis from The Daily Memphian’s Steven Johnson each week.

After a hot stretch in June where the Tigers landed six commitments, Memphis has switched to a more methodical approach in July.

Coach Ryan Silverfield has only accepted one commitment this month, from Florida defensive back Dredrick Bell. However, are the Tigers about to land another high-profile commitment?

At least two 247Sports recruiting analysts think so. Three-star defensive lineman Joshua White had two crystal ball predictions logged yesterday, predicting he’ll commit to the Tigers.

The Decatur, Georgia lineman would be a massive pickup for Silverfield and the staff. He’s ranked as the No. 394 prospect nationally in the 247Sports composite and the No. 54 defensive lineman.

His .8871 prospect grade would make him the ninth-highest rated recruit the Tigers have signed in the modern era. He would be an instant impact player if the Tigers can finish the deal.

White is also supposedly high on Mississippi State, but the two crystal ball picks came from MSU insiders Steve Robertson and Paul Jones. That definitely means something.

It would be one of the biggest recruiting wins of Silverfield’s early tenure, can he and defensive line coach Kyle Pope pull it off?
