Welcome back to the Tigers Football Insider, where we bring you the latest news and analysis from The Daily Memphian’s Frank Bonner II, Geoff Calkins and John Martin each week.

Memphis coach Ryan Silverfield has landed new hires for both of his coordinator positions, and The Daily Memphian has acquired documents that detail their salaries.

Defensive coordinator Matt Barnes and offensive coordinator Tim Cramsey both agreed to two-year contracts. Barnes agreed to a base salary of $440,000, which is $5,000 more than what former defensive coordinator Mike MacIntyre was scheduled to make for the 2022 season, according to the documents.

Offensive coordinator Tim Cramsey agreed to a base salary of $400,000 which is $15,000 less than what former offensive coordinator Kevin Johns was scheduled to make.

Both coordinators will be looking to make an impact on their respective sides of the ball to help the Tigers improve from last year’s 6-6 season. Memphis will complete its 2022 recruiting class with national signing day being on Wednesday. Time will show how well Cramsey and Barnes can help develop the new talent coming in.
