Grizzlies Insider: Morant invites ‘The Rock’ to Memphis

It was a Grizzlies and pop-culture crossover few could see coming.
But now, Memphis point guard Ja Morant has started a new campaign on Twitter. He wants actor and former wrestling superstar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to come to FedExForum for a playoff game.
The invite is officially extended.
“Yeah pull up @TheRock,” Morant tweeted on Wednesday night.
How did all of this happen, you may wonder?
Johnson has been promoting his new preworkout drink, ZOA, on his social media platforms. After Memphians (and Grizzlies reporters) Parker Fleming and Sharon Brown shared a Twitter exchange about the drink and the city’s love for Johnson, The Rock shared his love for Memphis.
