Is a Dillon Brooks suspension coming?

There’s not an answer to that question just yet, and the Grizzlies will have to wait to see what comes next. But before going any further, let’s recap what happened and what was said on Tuesday night, May 3.

Three minutes into the first quarter, Brooks took a swipe at Warriors guard Gary Payton II and hit him in the head on a fast-break attempt, sending him crashing to the ground. Brooks received a flagrant 2 foul and was ejected from the game. Payton fractured his elbow and did not return.

So the Warriors were predictably hot about the foul after the game.

Golden State coach Steve Kerr called the play dirty.

Draymond Green said it was a “bulls--- foul.”

But neither team has behaved like saints through two games.
