The Tigers opened the NCAA official signing period on Wednesday by singing several transfers after already signing the majority of their high school recruits during the early period.

Popper was announced as the new director of recruiting a day after Mike Jenkins tweeted that he accepted a position with Memphis football. Jenkins spent two years working with the defensive line as a graduate assistant coach at Arkansas Tech University.

Jenkins’ Twitter bio now says that he is a defensive line assistant for the Tigers. He would be working with defensive line coach Kyle Pope.

Jenkins was a defensive lineman at the University of Arkansas-Monticello where he played in the 2018 and 2019 seasons. He tallied 39 tackles, two sacks, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries during his career.
