Memphis football is heading into the 2023 season with three new assistant coaches, and The Daily Memphian inquired about their salaries.
Receivers coach Larry Smith is the only contract the university had available in response to an open records request. Smith signed a two-year contract with a $175,000 base salary.
The yearly salaries for offensive line coach Jeff Myers and special teams coordinator Chris White are listed on the university salary database. Myers will be making $265,000 this season and White will make $200,000.
Smith replaces former receivers coach David Glidden who made $165,000 last season. White replaces previous special teams coordinator Charles Bankins who earned the same salary White is making this year. The Tigers saved $100,000 with Myers’ salary. He replaced Jim Bridge who made $365,000 last season.
