Welcome back to hoops season, Memphis.

The Memphis Grizzlies released their season slogan for the upcoming season on Wednesday, Sept. 27, showing off the new banner outside FedExForum that reads “back to the grind.”

It’s an ode to the past and a nod to what is next all in one. These Grizzlies have been on the precipice of something special without getting over the hump. They’ve come up just short of their goals each of the last two seasons.

So back to the grind they’ll go.

Steven Adams, Jaren Jackson Jr., Marcus Smart, Desmond Bane and Ja Morant are featured on the banner. Perhaps it is foreshadowing a future starting lineup for Memphis. Maybe it’s just a guess.
