Former Memphis Tiger and current Philadelphia Eagles kicker Jake Elliott has purchased 2,500 tickets for Saturday’s 11 a.m. home game against SMU.
Fans can access the tickets online.
It is the second time this season that 2,500 tickets have been purchased by a single individual and distributed to spectators. Earlier this year head coach Ryan Silverfield bought the same amount heading into Memphis’ game against Tulane.
Saturday is the last home game of the season for the Tigers (8-2, 4-1 AA), who are still in contention for an American Athletic Conference title. SMU, Tulane and UTSA are all undefeated.
The Tigers have a legitimate chance at a conference championship game berth if they can knock off the Mustangs this week and Tulane beats UTSA in the regular-season finale for both teams.
