Memphis Grizzlies big man Jaren Jackson Jr. simplified it. He wasn’t trying to discredit what had already been said, but he also wanted to make a point. 

As the losses mounted for Memphis in the first two months of the season, every player and coach vowed to be better because of it. They promised that those struggles were necessary learning opportunities. 

But Jackson amended that point on Friday night with one important caveat.
