Memphis Grizzlies wing GG Jackson entered summer league with massive expectations for himself, and pressure from the home fans that are ready to anoint the 19-year-old as the next great player to come through the city.
He’s not going to duck those expectations. He also realizes he hasn’t quite lived up to the standard he set for himself entering summer league.
Through two games, Jackson is 13-for-34 from the floor with 10 turnovers. His coaches want him to shoot with confidence. They also want him to show he can use his offensive skills to get shots for his teammates.
So far, that is a work in progress.
