Have you ever wondered what happens behind the scenes at a restaurant? Do you want to meet your favorite chefs? Or learn more about your favorite dining establishments?
If that’s the case, read on.
We are launching a new event series called “The Daily Memphian Restaurant Insider” full of culinary adventures you’re going to love.
Jennifer Chandler: Wine & Dine: 8 August food and drink events
As a thank you for being a subscriber to The Daily Memphian and to Table Talk, you’ll learn about these events before the general public, offering you the chance to get a ticket before the event sells out.
Our first Restaurant Insider adventure will be Thursday, Aug. 22, at Muddy’s Bake Shop, where owner Kat Gordon has planned a fun morning for us at her Broad Avenue Arts District bakery.
Gordon will give us a behind-the-scenes look into the business, with a private tour of the bakery while her “gnomies” (that’s what she calls her team members) are busy at work.
The two-hour event, which begins at 10 a.m., will also include a private cooking class and a laid-back brunch of Muddy’s quiche, salad and, of course, a sweet treat.
There are only 25 seats available because we wanted to keep the event intimate and give everyone a chance to meet Gordon. But, personally, I am very excited about the opportunity to meet all of you: The people who have the same passion for Memphis’ restaurant community that I do.
Jennifer Chandler: What to Order: Mushrooms & Toast, Halibut and more at Blue Honey
Tickets are $35 each, which includes taxes and fees, and are now available to subscribers through this link.
Ticket sales will open to the general public on Thursday, Aug. 1.
Hope to see you at Muddy’s!
