The final buzzer sounded on the Grizzlies’ 131-114 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night, and then everyone went to bed.
When Grizzlies wing Jake LaRavia woke up on Thursday morning, he had thousands of new fans halfway across the globe.
That’s how far a simple act of kindness can go.
LaRavia, who scored 13 points with five rebounds and a team-high eight assists, dished out one more as soon as the final buzzer sounded.
