The aptly named T Clifton exhibition celebrates gallery owner and mezzo-fresco artist Tom Clifton’s 40 years in business. In that time, Clifton has sold works from hundreds of other artists and designed and created more than 22,000 custom frames. In his works, Clifton adapted a fresco process for use with canvas. The reception will be held from 3-7 p.m. Click here to learn about more November art exhibitions3-7 p.m. Free admission. 2571 Broad Ave. Click here for more on this event.— Elle Perry

The party will be “Moulin Rouge”-themed, and the entire theater — from the lobby to backstage — will be decorated for the occasion. Morgan Wade at Minglewood Hall, Friday:

Morgan Wade will play Minglewood Hall on Friday, Nov. 15. (Amy Harris/ Invision/ AP file)

Virginia-raised country singer Morgan Wade occupies space on the commercial edges of the genre, not quite mainstream, not quite underground. But she’s a tough, frank, deeply felt songwriter, and those descriptives apply to her vocals as well. Pretty much anything from Wade’s excellent third album, this summer’s “Obsessed,” would greatly improve country radio, if they gave her more of a chance. Wade was last in town playing a strong afternoon set at the first Riverbeat Music Festival. 8 p.m. $42. See here for more info. — Herrington

Jeff Hulett & The Hand Me Downs vinyl-record release show at The Cove, Friday:

Memphis singer-songwriter Jeff Hulett and his band, The Hand Me Downs, will play songs from “Little Windows” in this vinyl release show in the Broad Avenue Arts District. Many of the songs from the new album deal with loss, but they retain a sense of hope around the thought of seeing the people we love and miss somewhere down the road. 8 p.m. $5. 2559 Broad Ave. — Phillips

Time Warp Drive-in’s Hannibal Lecter double feature at Malco Summer Drive-In, Saturday:

The Time Warp Drive-in will screen a Hannibal Lector double feature on Saturday, Nov. 16. (Mark Weber/The Daily Memphian file)

I think maybe I’ve heard enough about Hannibal Lecter this year, but if you haven’t, then the Summer Drive-In is the place to be on Saturday night. The character has been played by at least three different actors. Anthony Hopkins wasn’t even first. But from the second he appears, devouring the scenery and the screen in 1991’s “The Silence of the Lambs,” Hopkins has owned the part. That film, in which Memphis has a cameo of sorts, will lead off a Lecter double-feature at this month’s Time-Warp Drive-in, where it will be followed by the Hopkins-as-Lecter showcase, Ridley Scott’s 2001 “Hannibal.” $25 per car. Screenings begin at 7 p.m. See here for more info. — Herrington

Slowdown Dry Goods grand opening, Saturday-Sunday:

Courtesy Slowdown Dry Goods

If you’re looking for something that says, “I like Memphis,” Broad Avenue is the place to be Saturday and Sunday. Literally. Throughout the past few years, Slowdown Dry Goods has been creating graphic tees, bags, sunglasses and, most famously, “I like Memphis” hats, evolving from pop-up shops to a full online brand. Now, they’re opening a brick-and-mortar store with a party all weekend. Saturday, peruse the store while snacking on eats from El Mero Taco and drinks from Wiseacre as you listen to tunes from Bodywerk. Don’t forget to check out local photographer Nate Packard’s photo gallery of singer and Boy Genius member Julien Baker. Start your Sunday right with a morning art sale with work from Isaiah Kennedy and pottery by Kelsey Berry. New-ish java slinger Byway Coffee will be there, along with a Time to Waste Vintage pop-up shop. And at noon, Memphis Social Bicycle Club will be meeting up before their 1 p.m. ride. It’s a celebration of Memphis for everyone who “likes Memphis.” 6-10 p.m. on Saturday; 9 a.m.-2 -p.m. on Sunday. 783 Broad Ave. Click here for more information. — Kelsey Bowen

Since this is also part of the Pink Palace’s Laser Live series, the performance will include visual accompaniment.” The first track of “Wands” is “I’m Sick Because I’m Not From Here,” with the entire album chronicling Dukes’ journey of isolation, alienation and self-discovery. Nov. 16 is also Dukes’ birthday. Click here to read more about his artistic journey6:30 p.m. doors, 7 p.m. show. $20.75 (tickets here). 3050 Central Ave. — Perry

Trash Cat, the Hi-Tone’s black-and-white bar cat, is turning four, and the Hi-Tone is having a big paw-ty! Expect drink specials, games and prizes. And you can purchase your very own copy of the Hi-Tone’s 2025 Trash Cat calendar. Trash Cat’s claim to fame was disappearing from the Midtown bar during this past January’s snowstorm, only to be found 33 days later in Collierville. As for the name, well, Trash Cat was found outside by the Hi-Tone’s trash bins back in 2020 — a trash year if there ever was one. Doors at 5 p.m., party at 6 p.m. Free. 282-284 N. Cleveland St. Click here for more information. — Phillips
