Welcome back to The To-Do List, where Daily Memphian staffers suggest their favorite events and activities for the coming week.
This week, art-crawl through the Edge District, take your dog to meet Santa Paws and sashay into Christmas with “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”
Edge District Art Crawl at Marshall Arts, Sheet Cake Gallery, Ugly Art Co. and Solid Ground Studios, Thursday:

Four of the Edge District’s art spaces are teaming up for an art crawl. Each will be open special hours for the event. At Marshall Arts, attendees can view works from Marshall Arts artists and tour studios of Anthony D. Lee, Holtermonster, Emma Self and Wiley Bros Music, among others. At Sheet Cake, attendees can view two newly open exhibitions: Brittney Boyd Bullock’s solo exhibition and a group exhibition with artists including Renata Cassiano Alvarez, Anthony Sonnenberg and Yanira Vissepó. At Ugly Art Co., attendees can view the newly opened “Roots” exhibition from Sam Reeves Hill. ‘A Drag Queen Christmas’ at the Orpheum Theatre, Thursday:
The stars of “RuPaul's Drag Race” are ringing in the holidays at the Orpheum. Hosted by Nina West, this star-studded spectacle includes performances by Sasha Colby, Sapphira Cristal, Roxxxy Andrews, Angeria Paris VanMichaels and others from the longest-running drag tour in America. Fans will see winners and legends from season 16 and “RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars” season nine. A meet-and-greet opportunity is available for VIP ticket holders. This weekend brings your final chance to sit the kids on Santa’s lap so they can cry their faces off and create embarrassing photos to share with his or her future boyfriend or girlfriend. And bonus: Santa will be hanging out two doors down from Lululemon, so you might as well get some cute yoga pants while you’re there. And if your kids are of the four-legged variety, they’re welcome to get Santa pics, too, so long as they’re leashed and well-behaved. 2-6 p.m. on Friday, 2-7 p.m. on Saturday and 1-5 p.m. on Sunday. Tis a Soulful Season: Holiday Concert with Kenneth Jackson at Orange Mound Library, Friday:
Memphis musician Kenneth Jackson has toured the world with such artists as Ray Charles, Solomon Burke, Sam and Dave and others. But this Friday, he’ll be playing a free holiday show at the Orange Mound Library. Not sure what you’re in for? His bio says he’s got a vocal style that’ll remind you of Lou Rawls and Barry White, and his guitar playing is reminiscent of B.B. Kenneth Whalum III’s ‘Home for the Holidays’ at Tailors’ Union, Friday:

Memphis native Kenneth Whalum is part of a trio of brothers in a storied Memphis music family. Among others, their uncle Kirk Whalum is a legendary jazz saxophonist, while Kenneth’s brothers are actor and singer Kortland Whalum and singer and trombonist Kameron Whalum (who is part of Bruno Mars’ Hooligans band). Kenneth is a singer, songwriter and jazz saxophonist. He’s toured and recorded with R&B star Maxwell and collaborated with jazz artists, such as Robert Glasper and Derrick Hodge, and rapper Big KRIT. Last week, Kenneth released his latest single, “Imagining Things.” His fourth annual “Home for the Holidays” concert will feature two shows. 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. shows. $40-$75 (tickets here). 115 Union Ave. — Perry
Santa Paws at Celtic Crossing, Saturday:
This is your chance to put your dog in a tiny Christmas sweater and make him wear a little reindeer antlers. Celtic will have photos with Santa Paws, plus doggy cocktails and discounts on “doggy burgers.” (And yes, Celtic serves burgers for dogs year-round, in case you didn’t know.) Keri Lee’s ‘Sing the Season’ at Tom Lee Park, Saturday:

Memphis singer Keri Lee, who has sung background for John Legend, Deborah Cox and Alexander O’Neal — among others — will host a community holiday sing-along on behalf of Memphis River Parks Partnership. The event’s aim is for all ages, races and voices to join together in singing holiday songs, led by Lee. The event will feature fire pits and hot tea from Lee’s family business, Lee’s Urban Apothecary. Attendees are asked to dress in warm layers of clothing and to bring a blanket or lawn chair. 2-4 p.m. 422 Riverside Dr. (accessible from Butler Avenue stairs). Built in 1928, the Mighty Wurlitzer Organ is one of the most treasured pieces of history in Memphis. Now you can hear it in all its glory as house organist Tony Thomas plays the holiday classics, like “All I Want for Christmas is You,” “Carol of the Bells” and more. “The Mighty Wurlitzer Organ is as integral to the Orpheum as the gold leaf and chandeliers,” said Brett Patterson, president and CEO of the Orpheum.
