With the 2024-25 college basketball season now officially over following Florida’s win over Houston in Monday’s NCAA title game, all eyes turn to next season.

Several media outlets and national pundits have already released their “way-too-early” top 25 rankings for 2025-26. 

But in today’s world of the NCAA transfer portal and name, image and likeness (NIL), it’s almost impossible to predict who will be at the top of the sport and who won’t seven months before the start of the regular season.

That’s especially the case for Memphis, which already lost four players to the portal and still waits on a decision from star combo guard PJ Haggerty.
