Welcome to this week’s Tigers Basketball Insider. Below you’ll find the latest news and analysis from The Daily Memphian’s Parth Upadhyaya, John Martin and Tim Buckley.

The Memphis Tigers were again represented across the league during an NBA regular season that came to a close Monday.

Eight former Tigers — all members of the program at some point during coach Penny Hardaway’s seven seasons so far — logged minutes for NBA teams in the 2024-25 regular season.

Highlighted by Jalen Duren on the Detroit Pistons and Precious Achiuwa on the New York Knicks, five of the eight former Tigers are members of teams that punched their tickets to the 2025 NBA playoffs, which begin with first-round matchups starting Saturday.
