The NBA offseason has been mostly silent since the free agency frenzy settled in July. 

That changed on Wednesday when independent reporter Pablo Torre dropped a bombshell news story on his podcast Pablo Finds Out. 

The story, which he tells over an episode that is 1 hour and 20 minutes, alludes to the idea that the Los Angeles Clippers tried to circumvent the salary cap by setting up a “no-show” brand deal for former free agent Kawhi Leonard to make an additional $7 million per year.
