Welcome back to The To-Do List, where Daily Memphian staffers suggest their favorite events and activities for the coming week.
In this week’s To-Do List, eat ice cream for breakfast, party like Edgar Allan Poe and get campy at the Children’s Museum of Memphis.
Memphis Lunar New Year Bar Crawl at various locations, through Saturday, Feb. 28:
This year’s Lunar New Year Bar Crawl locations are Good Fortune Co., Bao Toan Kitchen & Bar and Cameo. (The Daily Memphian file)
It’s about to be the Year of the Fire Horse, according to the Chinese zodiac, and it’s time to party. The Lunar New Year is Feb. 17, but you can go ahead and get started on the fifth annual Lunar New Year Bar Crawl. This year’s bars are Good Fortune Co., Bao Toan Kitchen & Bar and Cameo. Here’s how it works: You pick up a passport from any of those bars, and you’ll get a stamp when you order certain cocktails. Get six stamps (two drinks at each place), and turn it in for a free T-shirt designed by Memphis artist Kobie Steele, so you can ride into a fiery new year in style. You have until the end of the month to complete the passport. Good Fortune Co., 361 S. Main St.; Bao Toan Kitchen & Bar, 1350 Concourse Ave., suite 165; Cameo, 1835 Union Ave., suite 103. Diana Krall at the Orpheum Theatre, Thursday:

Jazz singer Diana Krall started playing piano when she was just four years old. And by age 15, she was performing in restaurants. When I was that age, I wanted to be a teacher or a fashion photographer, neither of which panned out or even sound like something I’d want to do now. But Krall knew what she was doing: To date, she’s had eight albums debut at the top of the Billboard Jazz Albums chart. And she’s won two Grammys, 10 Junos (the Canadian equivalent of a Grammy) and earned multiple gold and platinum albums. 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $34. 203 S. Main St. More info here. — Bianca Phillips

That starts at 6 p.m. On Saturday, there’s a Mardi Gras parade and block party on Beale Street starting at noon. And on Sunday, there’s a Mardi Bowl Tailgate Super Bowl watch party at The Columns. Doors open at 3 p.m. Weekend passes are $115, and ticket prices vary for other events. More info here. — Phillips

Kaye’s Pints and Scoops will celebrate Ice Cream for Breakfast Day on Saturday, Feb. 7. (Mark Weber/The Daily Memphian file)
If you’re anything like me, being frozen inside my house for almost two weeks does nothing to curb my craving for ice cream. Luckily, Kaye’s Pints & Scoops feels the same way. So much so, they are serving up the frozen treat for breakfast. Head to the ice cream joint Saturday morning for sundaes topped with your favorite breakfast snacks. And don’t forget your PJs. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. 2089 Winchester Road. Click here for more info. — Kelsey Bowen
Super Saturday at the Brooks Museum of Art, Saturday:
 Chakaia Booker's "Untitled”
To celebrate Black History Month, the Brooks Museum of Art is waiving admission. The museum will spotlight Black American artist Chakaia Booker, known for her abstract sculptures made from rubber tires. If you’ve been to the museum recently, you’ve probably seen Booker’s untitled 2002 tire sculpture, which she made by cutting, tearing, coiling and fastening together reclaimed tires — materials she has described as “a compelling metaphor of African American survival in the modern world.” In her honor, visitors will be able to make their own version of Booker’s sculptures using paper. 10 a.m.-noon. Free. 1934 Poplar Ave. Click here for more info. — Bowen

Like Really Creative Giant Community Collage, Saturday:
Y’all know I am always talking about collages over here. Now, it’s time for the big one. A giant one, even. Like Really Creative is partnering with Memphis Public Libraries to create a humongous collage on a colossus piece of wood. Use scraps, shreds, bits and bobs to create something beautiful and abstract with your community. But don’t worry, you can make your own private artwork, too! 2-4 p.m. Free. 3030 Poplar Ave. Click here to RSVP. — Bowen

Speaking of camp, there’s even a diamond pull from Gattas Jewelers. 7-11 p.m. $175 for general admission or $250 for VIP. 2525 Central Ave. More info here. — Phillips
