In this week’s On the Ballot, Shelby County Sheriff Floyd Bonner says he’s prepared to move to Memphis should he run for mayor. And the African-American Clergy Collective of Tennessee is calling on voters to support a proposed amendment to the state constitution that would ban slavery for those convicted of a crime. 

Early voting begins Wednesday, Oct. 19, and The Daily Memphian’s election coverage will be free through Nov. 9.
