A recent decision by the TSSAA should only bolster the sports’ profile. The recent decision by the state’s governing body for high school sports to sanction lacrosse brings legitimacy to the game, CBHS coach Collin Welsh said. Hayes and Cello Jackson, two freshmen who represent the future — and present — of the program. And as always, we need your help in spotlighting the area’s best high school athletes. Coaches and stat-keepers can send in their scores, highlights and top performers from each game to jvarlas@dailymemphian.com or by tweeting me, @johnvarlas.
