The Week in Prep Sports

It took Larry Benson a bit of time to hit his stride. But now, it’s all Business.

Benson, a junior guard at Memphis Business Academy, admittedly came into the season with some trepidation after breaking his fibula during the summer. But he found his confidence during the holidays, and since then, he’s been on a tear.

One that could carry the Execs to the state tournament for the first time in program history.

And as always, we need your help in spotlighting our top prep performers like Benson. Coaches and stat-keepers can send in their scores, highlights and top performers from each game either by emailing jvarlas@dailymemphian.com or on X @johnvarlas.
