Starting in 2026, Spring Fling will look considerably different.
 
After 32 years of the spring sports championships being held in one central location, the TSSAA’s board of control approved two site changes. Beginning next year, tennis will be held in Chattanooga, while the state track meets will shift to Knoxville.
 
Murfreesboro will remain home to the soccer, softball and baseball tournaments.
 
One player who had eyes on Spring Fling this year was Lausanne baseball standout Rishi Bhavaraju. This Lynx fell a game short — but that’s only a tiny portion of his interesting journey to being a standout for one of the city’s top teams. — John Varlas
