It’s the season for postseason awards.

This week, The Daily Memphian began its annual recognition of our area’s best with our golf awards, led by state champions from MUS and St. Mary’s.

Honorees in other fall sports will follow in the coming days and weeks.

We also look ahead to the second round of the TSSAA football playoffs in Tennessee with several interesting matchups highlighting the local schedule.

And as always, we need your help in spotlighting our top prep athletes. Basketball season in Tennessee is right around the corner, and coaches and stat-keepers can send in their scores, highlights and top performers from each game by emailing jvarlas@dailymemphian.com or on X @johnvarlas.
