The Week in Review

This week, The Daily Memphian ran the first two columns of Chris Herrington’s in-depth five-part series on the Grizzlies’ basketball management track record in the seven seasons under the leadership of Zach Kleiman.

Sunday’s Part 1 looked at his draft record and Monday’s Part 2 dove into his trade record.

Parts 3 and 4 (which will publish next Sunday and Monday) will explore Kleiman’s free agency, contract negotiation and salary-cap management, as well as his coaching and player management. Chris will wrap it all up in his final part on the big picture and the future of the team.

We still covered who won and lost the Grizzlies games and had the news on the new women’s basketball coach at the University of Memphis and the new assistants Penny Hardaway hired on his rebuilt staff.

John Varlas had the high school sports covered, and Frank Bonner II covered the Tigers football spring practices.

But, Herrington’s analysis pieces are the type of articles we strive to publish at The Daily Memphian — articles you can not find elsewhere.
