No matter where we go, we see generosity, gratitude and grit. There’s grateful COVID survivor John Butler, whose visit caused the team at Regional One to get misty-eyed. And veterans who seem surprised when others go out of their way to thank them for their service. We’ve got the Gleaners, sharing a bounty of produce, and Downtown bicyclists handing out burritos. Newcomers relish their citizenship during a special ceremony, swimmers at Gooch Park slice into the pool during an extra-hot Memphis summer, and visiting vaulters soar over Beale Street. They’re all facets of the Spirit of Memphis.
