In the week’s On the Ballot, we’ve got a rundown of the winners from last week’s county general election and state and federal primaries. In the highest-profile races, University of Memphis law professor Steve Mulroy defeated incumbent Shelby County District Attorney Amy Weirich, and Shelby County Mayor Lee Harris beat out challenger Worth Morgan.

Plus, County Clerk Wanda Halbert, whose office has recently been plagued with a license plate renewal backlog, was re-elected, and a referendum on extended term limits for the Memphis mayor and Memphis City Council members failed again.

Democrat Steve Mulroy declared victory over incumbent Republican Amy Weirich late Thursday evening in the race for Shelby County District Attorney, but Weirich had not conceded defeat.
