Welcome to this week’s Tigers Basketball Insider. The latest? Former University of Memphis forward Emoni Bates has been arrested on gun charges. Detroit’s WXYZ Channel 7 reported Monday, Sept. 19, that deputies in Michigan’s Washtenaw County pulled the Eastern Michigan University star over after he failed to stop at an intersection Sunday night. The sheriff’s office said a firearm was discovered during the stop, and Bates was taken into custody. Bates committed to Eastern Michigan in June after entering the transfer portal in April. Check out more Memphis Tigers basketball news below.
