Passing lanes aren’t the only lanes Ja Morant is familiar with, evidently.
In a new advertisement for Wendy’s, the Grizzlies point guard and his dad, Tee Morant, hit the bowling alley for a few frames during the point guard’s “off day.”

After training for several weeks at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., Morant is back in Memphis and working out at the Grizzlies training facility.
It’s been a busy offseason so far for the second-year player.
“Coming up, it was pretty much no days off,” Tee Morant said in the latest ad. “Every time a ball was bouncing he wanted to be in the gym.
“Usually, on our days off we try to do something competitive because we are competitive as a family. Any sort of competition.”
Is a move to become a two-sport athlete — somewhat like Dodgers star and avid bowler Mookie Betts — in the future? Definitely not.

But we can all admit, it would be a joy to watch Morant curve a ball perfectly down the lane for a strike and throw up the goggles (err, “Jaggles”) to the crowd.
In fact, he’s a man of so many talents it’s a challenge to decide which is the most impressive.
Over the weekend, the point guard was jumping over 6-foot-11 high school prospect Kel’el Ware for an acrobatic dunk at Memphis-based AAU program Team Thad’s fall combine. The next week, he was dishing out a different type of assist by giving pizzas to the needy on the street.
So, sure, the layoff before next season might be a little bit longer than hoops fans are used to waiting, but that’s not going to keep Morant out of the spotlight in the meantime.
