By the time news broke late Wednesday night that Boston guard Marcus Smart was being dealt to the Grizzlies, most of the Memphis fan base was already in bed. Evidently, Ja Morant isn’t the only Grizzly to operate in the dark.

As the dust settles on the deal, which saw Tyus Jones shipped to Washington and two first-round picks sent to Boston, there’s been more time to think about it. 

Here are four thoughts I’ve had as everyone dives into what this trade will mean for Memphis moving forward.
