‘Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me’ at Crosstown Theater, Thursday:

David Lynch (“Blue Velvet,” “Mulholland Drive”), one of the singular filmmakers of any era, died in January. The Crosstown Arts Film Series commemorates Lynch with a screening of his 1992 feature film prequel to his landmark television series “Twin Peaks.” It’s a sordid and sorrowful work telling the story of the final weeks in the life of Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee), the high school girl whose murder sets off the “Twin Peaks” series. Most of the cast of the show returned for the film. It screens at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5. 1350 Concourse Ave. See here for more info. — Chris Herrington

Get your green on, and then head Downtown for the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. As always, local organizations from across the city will have floats and walking groups, and many a strand of green beads will no doubt be hurled into the crowd. As for the royal court, Blues City Cafe owner Wilbur Hensley will be the parade king, and he’ll be joined by Queen of All Western Appalachia Jan Heck and Irish American of the Year Wade Glenn of Glenn Trucking. New this year is the title of Irish Grindfather, which will be bestowed on none other than former Memphis Grizzlies star Tony Allen whose jersey is being retired later that night during the Grizz game. 2 p.m. Free. Beale Street. Click here for more info. — Phillips

Mid-South Daffodil Show at Dixon Gallery & Gardens, Saturday-Sunday:

The Mid-South Daffodil Show runs Saturday-Sunday, March 15-16, at the Dixon Gallery & Gardens. (Matt Rourke/AP file)

It’s my favorite time of year — when the flowers start blooming! To celebrate, the Dixon Gallery & Gardens is hosting its 13th annual daffodil show. How many varieties of daffodils are there? More than you think. The flower blooms in many different colors and shapes, and there’s not a better place to get an in-person look than at the Dixon with volunteers posted to answer all your burning questions. 2-5 p.m. Saturday and 1-4 p.m. Sunday. Free. 4339 Park Ave. Click here for more information. — Kelsey Bowen

‘The Good, the Bad & the Ugly’ at Pink Palace Museum, Saturday:

Director Sergio Leone’s nearly three-hourlong 1966 epic is arguably one of the greatest Westerns, “spaghetti” or otherwise. Set in America amid the U.S. Civil War but filmed in Italy, it stars Clint Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef and Eli Wallach as a bounty hunter, a mercenary and a bandit, respectively, who compete against a rugged landscape to find and claim a buried cache of Confederate gold. Leone’s wide-screen visuals should look mighty striking on the giant screen at the Pink Palace, which will screen the film as part of the museum’s “Movies and Brews” series. 5:30 p.m., with the screening at 7:10 p.m. Tickets are $25.75 and come with one local beer. See here for more info. — Herrington

‘Whose Live Anyway?’ at the Orpheum Theatre, Saturday:

Improv comic Joel Murray

The touring version of TV’s hit improv show “Whose Line is it Anyway?” is coming to the Orpheum stage. Cast members Greg Proops, Jeff B. Davis, Ryan Stiles and Joel Murray will create witty one-liners, songs and more on the spot. And the audience gets to decide the topics. So bring your ideas, and you might get called up to the stage. (Or don’t, if you just want to sit back and laugh.) 7:30 p.m. $65-$82. 203 S. Main St. Click here for more information. — Phillips

Celtic Concert at Germantown Community Theatre, Sunday-Monday:

If you’re looking for something to do on St. Paddy’s Day besides drinking beer at a bar, here you go. Arrive early at 6 p.m., and you can raise a glass of Irish beer, whiskey or coffee. And then at 7 p.m., the show kicks off with a celebration of the music and dance of the Emerald Isle, featuring Irish pipers, the Inis Acla School Irish dancers and The Slainte Singers. All attendees will be eligible for door prizes, including Bog & Barley gift cards and GCT concert and season tickets. 6 p.m. $20. 3037 Forest Hill Irene Road, Germantown. Click here for more information. — Phillips

Immersion and Suss at The Green Room at Crosstown Arts, Tuesday:

Immersion will play The Green Room at Crosstown Arts on Tuesday, March 18. (Submitted)

Suss is the pioneering New York-based ambient-country trio composed of Jonathan Gregg, Bob Holmes and Pat Irwin. Immersion is a London-based electronic duo (and couple) Colin Newman (of the band Wire) and Malika Spigel (of the band Minimal Compact). In the latest of Immersion’s collaborative “Nanocluster” albums released in February, Immersion collaborates with Suss. In an artist statement, Holmes said Immersion’s “use of rhythm, synthesizers, bass and atmospherics felt very complementary” to his band’s instrumentation, which includes pedal steel, dobro, mandolin, eBow, harmonium, melodica, violin, acoustic guitar and keyboard. The “Nanocluster” tour takes both bands to South by Southwest before the Memphis stop. Immersion and Suss will perform individual sets before performing their shared songs. 7 p.m. doors, 7:30 p.m. show. $20 advance, $25 door. 1350 Concourse Ave. suite 280. — Perry

Cooper-Young clothing swap, Wednesday:

Spring is here, or at least it feels like it. Give yourself a closet refresh at the Cooper-Young Community Association’s clothing swap. Bring your old (but not tattered!) clothes to the CYCA office, and find something new to exchange it for. There will be snacks, and any leftover clothes will be donated. Talk about a neighborhood closet! 6-9 p.m. Free. 2298 Young Ave. Click here for more information. — Bowen

‘A Taste of Ireland’ at the Cannon Center for the Performing Arts, Wednesday:

St. Patrick’s Day is Monday, but the luck of the Irish lasts forever. Or, well, at least through Wednesday when the touring off-Broadway show “A Taste of Ireland” stops in Memphis. Former World Irish dance champions and performers from Lord of the Dance and Riverdance help tell the story of Ireland’s tumultuous history with a “pint of Irish wit,” according to the show’s description. 7:30-10 p.m. $41-$90. 255 N. Main St. Click here for more information. — Phillips
