It was less than two weeks ago that Memphis basketball didn’t have anything that even resembled a complete roster.
When All-American guard PJ Haggerty entered the NCAA transfer portal April 17, the 2025-26 Tigers featured four transfer portal acquisitions — Zachary Davis from South Carolina, Julius Thedford (Western Kentucky), Ashton Hardaway (Saint Mary’s) and Quante Berry (Temple) — along with Overtime Elite’s Daniel Vieira-Tuck, junior college transfer Felipe Patino and lone guaranteed returnee Dante Harris.
A decent start? Sure.
But those seven players alone don’t guarantee a sure-fire NCAA Tournament berth — let alone the deep March Madness run Tiger fans have craved for more than a decade.
