President Biden issued an executive order requiring vaccination for all federal employees and employers with 100 or more workers.

While it could face legal challenges, it does open the door for larger employers that have wanted to mandate vaccinations for their workers to do so now. But given the employees’ market that persists, making such a move could be risky since many employers can’t fill positions right now anyway.

An HVAC manufacturer may move a production facility to Presidents Island. RedDot Corp. is requesting a 10-year tax incentive to buy the manufacturing facility once operated by GlaxoSmithKline.

What Brother Terence McLaughlin did back in 1963 as president of Christian Brothers High School because “it was the right thing to do,” got him in a lot of trouble. McLaughlin accepted the application of a worthy student who was Black, something the Catholic school hierarchy and society in general was not ready to accept.
