The Spirit of Memphis

The Spirit of Memphis is strong, especially in a mother who managed to graduate from college 32 years later than planned and another mom who gave birth while in a coma.

St. Jude Research Hospital leaders believe in the city, planning a $11.5 billion investment that will generate lots of jobs.

And the Chris Hope Foundation, founded by a UPS driver, provides housing for families of patients at St. Jude and LeBonheur Children’s Medical Center.

As usual, athletes, ranging from a high school baseball player to the U of M men’s basketball team, are full of can-do attitude.

And talk about attitude: Al Green rolls up his sleeve to get vaccinated and urges others to do the same.
