Police seek help from the public as homicide spike touches all areas of city
Valerie Henderson still mourns her son Calvin “Yung Coo” Wilhite, who was shot while walking with his girlfriend on Fourth Street and Beale in Downtown Memphis on May 25, 2015. Henderson has been vigilant about keeping her son’s memory in the public eye. “The police department does not have a magic wand. It takes a city to help because the police can only do so much,” she said. (Mark Weber/Daily Memphian)
