Edeymania? Edey Mania?

I guess we need to decide which version is correct.

Zach Edey, the 7-foot-4, 299-pound center, made his Grizzlies' debut Monday night in Utah in the Salt Lake City Summer League.

He did not disappoint.

The No. 9 pick of the 2024 NBA Draft scored 14 points, added 15 rebounds and blocked four shots in the Grizzlies' 97-95 overtime loss to the Utah Jazz.

His tip in the final second of regulation sent the game into overtime, and that, combined with his technical foul for protecting a teammate, quickly endured him with the Grizzlies' fan base.

Drew Hill, The Daily Memphian’s Grizzlies beat writer, is in Salt Lake City and wrote about last night’s game.

Hill will be with the team for its remaining two games in Utah and then travel to Las Vegas to cover the four games in the Las Vegas Summer League.
