The tumultuous playoff series between the Grizzlies and Golden State got even more intense, and not in a good way.

Dillon Brooks was suspended for one game because of an egregious and unnecessary foul. Then Ja Morant was injured when a Warriors player pulled at Morant’s knee. The bad news officially came down today: Morant has a bone bruise in his right knee and is likely out for the remainder of the postseason, for however long that is.

What it comes down to is this: The Grizzlies are down 3-1 in the Western Conference semifinals and Game 5, on Wednesday, May 11, at FedExForum, is an elimination game.

In non-Grizzlies news: Former Tigers basketball player Tyler Harris has moved on to South Florida; the football team gets a wide receiver transfer; and we take a look at what the quarterback situation is.

The high school spring sports postseasons have begun, with all roads leading to Spring Fling, which begins May 24 at sites around Rutherford County. — Elaine Sung, sports editor
