Amendment saves initial rejection for Germantown to regain schools bearing town name
Legislation that would force Shelby County Schools to transfer Germantown’s namesake schools, such as Germantown High School, to the suburb’s school district initially failed in the Senate Education Committee but was then added as an amendment to another measure. (Daily Memphian file)
