This week on “The AM/DM”: As summer hits its stride, we’re wondering: What does the Shelby County General Sessions Court clerk do? And culturally, we’re all probably reading a little less. But what does that mean for a place like Rhodes College, which prides itself on teaching students the classics? Also, throughout the past year, several headlines out of North Mississippi have centered on child endangerment, and members of the community have begun to wonder what is going on. Eric Barnes talks to John Zeneah, the City of Memphis’ chief of development and infrastructure, about his book “Today’s Comprehensive Plan: An Adaptive Approach” on “The Sidebar”. Drew Hill and Chris Herrington are joined by special guest Parker Fleming for a 32-selection mock NBA Draft with a focus on the Memphis Grizzlies’ three picks on the Grizzlies podcast. Mushroom Queen Daishu McGriff said she wanted the Umami Amora dinner on Juneteenth “to be a celebration of Black chefs where people can see the love through food.” She and dinner co-host Alicia Dixon are guests on “Sound Bites” this week. The Shelby County Board of Commissioners is looking at a possible tax increase while the Memphis City Council is expected to keep the city’s tax rate the same. That’s on “Behind The Headlines”.
