Collierville’s beer ordinance was adopted in the ’80s. Now, microbreweries could be allowed.

Collierville is considering new beer rules for the first time in more than 40 years — removing the distance requirement from churches and allowing establishments to sell suds without requiring food sales.

The Board of Mayor and Aldermen held its second of three required readings Monday, Aug. 11. Final consideration is scheduled for Aug. 25.
