City releases COVID-19 vaccine appointments for next week

The City of Memphis has posted COVID-19 appointment slots for the week of Sunday, March 28.

Residents age 16 and up can sign up online or by calling 901-222-SHOT (7468).


Next week, vaccine could be depleted by Thursday at mass sites


The sites include the Pipkin Building, Cordova (former Appling Emissions Station), Raleigh (Greater Imani Cathedral of Faith), Whitehaven (Southwest Tennessee Community College) and Germantown Baptist Church.

The above sites are for Pfizer; the Raleigh site has both Pfizer and Moderna.


Johnson & Johnson’s COVID vaccine shines light on bioethics


In terms of pop-up sites, first doses of Pfizer are available at several sites. Two sites, New Harvest Baptist Church, 2532 Warren St. and St. Paul Baptist Church, 2124 E Holmes Road, are administering the Johnson & Johnson vaccine next week. Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, 918 Looney Ave. is offering the Johnson & Johnson vaccine on Wednesday, April 7.

Second doses of Pfizer and Moderna are also available; the latter is available at Greater Imani next week and the Pursuit of God Church pop-up, 3759 N. Watkins St. on Friday, April 9.
