The two-round Memphis Golf Association City Am was decided by one stroke at Memphis Country Club.
The Memphis Golf Association City Amateur was first played in 1914. It was down to only 12 players in 2021. Now it is alive and well.
The Memphis native decided not to play professional golf after assembling a brilliant amateur career, including an NCAA individual title and two team national championships at Stanford.
In an interview last week, Memphis Parks director Nick Walker said the city plans to start work on the new clubhouse in 2025.
