Six months after Quail Ridge Golf Course closed in Bartlett, the owner has called short of maintaining the property and nearby residents wonder what is planned for the site.

Harold Moss reigned as chairman of the Memphis Area Association of Realtors Commercial Council Make-A-Wish Golf Tournament for 15 years — since its inception.

The Memphis-based PGA Tour event’s Positively Memphis Community Fund will aid local organizations with grants ranging from $1,000 to $25,000.

A golf course that has served the Bartlett area and provided nice character for adjacent neighborhoods will close this Saturday after 30 years of operation.

The two-round Memphis Golf Association City Am was decided by one stroke at Memphis Country Club.

The Memphis Golf Association City Amateur was first played in 1914. It was down to only 12 players in 2021. Now it is alive and well.

In an interview last week, Memphis Parks director Nick Walker said the city plans to start work on the new clubhouse in 2025.

Scheffler closed with a 4-under 67 for a four-shot victory over Collin Morikawa at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta.

For nearly 40 years, FedEx, St. Jude, Memphis and the entire Mid-South have united to spread this lifesaving mission to the world for one week.
