NORTH WATER TREATMENT FACILITY-ABANDONMENT AND CLOSURE OF 6 RAW WATER WELLS

BID 2026-5

The City of Millington, Tennessee solicits Sealed Bids for the North Water Treatment Facility-Abandonment and Closure of 6 Raw Water Wells in Millington, Tennessee. Bids will be received at City Hall, located at 7930 Nelson Road, Millington, TN 38053, until 2:00 PM local time on Thursday, February 26, 2026, and opened immediately thereafter.

The work consists generally of abandonment and closure of six existing raw water wells of varying depths in the area surrounding the City’s existing North Water Treatment Facility and all necessary and appurtenant work required to complete the work as described in these specifications.

All Bidders must be licensed contractors to perform the type of construction described herein, as required by Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 62, Chapter 6.

Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents may be examined at the locations listed below. Electronic copies of Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents will be made available to prospective bidders at no cost. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the City of Millington, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total of Bid, shall be submitted with each Bid. Submittal of a minimum of three (3) copies of the Bid response is required, one (1) original and two (2) copies.

Any Bidder, upon written request, will be given permission to withdraw his Proposal not later than the time set for opening. Bids accepted and read will remain effective for a period of sixty (60) days after the date and time set for the opening of such bid.
