The Memphis Police Department hosted a Sea of Blue event Wed., Aug. 14, for Officer Demetrice Johnson, who died following a car crash earlier this month. Johnson, 34, died Aug. 2 after a car crash with a civilian, Rantavious Johnson, 22, who also died. A second officer, Bobby Fields, was critically injured.
According to a preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, no one involved in the crash was wearing a seat belt.
