Civil Rights Museum observes anniversary of MLK’s death
The National Civil Rights Museum will be closed April 4 for the Easter holiday, but visitors can view the balcony site of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s final moments from the courtyard. (Daily Memphian file)
The program airs at 5 p.m. Sunday, April 4, and concludes with a moment of silence and bells tolling at 6:01 p.m., the time on April 4, 1968, when King was shot on the balcony of the Lorraine Motel.
