Coronavirus: More than 150 new cases reported

The Shelby County Health Department reported more than 150 new cases on Monday, April 19.
The agency reported 152 new cases and no new coronavirus-related deaths. The 152 cases come from 1,967 tests, giving the day a positivity rate of 7.7%.
The agency typically releases area hospital capacity figures now on Mondays and Thursdays.
As of 5 p.m. Sunday, there were 154 COVID-positive patients in area hospital beds, according to the Tennessee Healthcare Resource Tracking System.
According to the HRTS, 91% of area ICU and 88% of area acute care beds were in use.
About 17% of patients in area ICU beds were COVID-positive (56) or suspected of having the coronavirus (3). About 6% of patients in area acute care beds were either COVID-positive (98) or suspected of having the coronavirus (25).
And 33 area ICU and 271 area acute care beds were available.
Bed capacity is calculated by subtracting beds occupied by patients, unstaffed beds and beds that are otherwise unavailable.
The capacity figures are inclusive of all hospital facilities in Shelby, Tipton and Lauderdale counties in Tennessee as well as facilities in Crittenden County, Arkansas, and DeSoto County, Mississippi.
The Tennessee Department of Health releases statewide coronavirus figures at 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
As of Friday, there were 830,484 total cases, including 12,049 deaths, 820 current hospitalizations and 804,501 are inactive cases.
At that time, 7.4 million coronavirus tests had been performed in Tennessee.
