Coronavirus: 187 new cases reported

The Shelby County Health Department reported 187 new coronavirus cases and two new coronavirus-related deaths on Friday, April 30.

The 187 cases come from 2,795 tests, giving the day a positivity rate of 6.7%.

Shelby County’s reported coronavirus total is now 95,449 cases, including 92,208 inactive cases, 1,622 active cases and 1,619 deaths.

The Tennessee Department of Health releases statewide coronavirus figures at 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The state’s reported coronavirus total is now 846,472, including 12,188 deaths, 828 current hospitalizations and 821,689 are inactive cases.

About 7.6 million coronavirus tests have been performed in Tennessee.
