Coronavirus: 158 new cases, 1 additional death

On Sunday, May 9, the Shelby County Health Department reported 158 new coronavirus cases and one new COVID-19 related death in the past 24 hours.

Shelby County’s reported coronavirus total is now 96,670 cases and 1,630 deaths.

City plans ‘get out the vote’ type vaccine campaign


A total of 323,959 people are vaccinated in Shelby County. The number of people partially vaccinated is 89,133, while 234,826 people are fully vaccinated.

As of Friday, Tennessee’s reported coronavirus total was 852,854 cases, including 829,501 recoveries and 12,255 deaths.
